The Juniors Program is an open environment for children through grades 1 to 5.
We encourage that a child’s developmental age should not be discouraging or have to be a tough experience for them, but an opportunity to learn, cooperate, and enjoy the various activities and other individuals that this program gathers and provides.
We organize campers through smaller groups of 4-6 that are led by a pair of Junior Counselors to provide the correct amount of attention to each camper during the entire course of TANG. The decision to split a large group of campers into smaller groups allow for a more personal experience for each child and a method to keep control over the entire body as a whole.
The Counselors have been trained to provide the correct amount of supervision over meal, showers, hygiene and positive environment interaction. If a child is homesick and requires their parents, they will be able to see their parents at any time, and a counselor will be stationed to keep them company until said parent arrives. After they will be personally escorted back to the main group.
Programming is developed through dedicated volunteers, staff and guest speakers, and these life lessons are reinforced through workshops and small group activities. These campers are encouraged to be free and allow themselves to foster both relationships with other campers and their counselors for a more enjoyable experience.
