Program Description
Children represent the future. From an early age, their surroundings and relationships play a critical role of who they will become and aspire to be. The Junior Program offers a nurturing environment where both learning and fun are emphasized. They will begin to discover what it means to be a Taiwanese American but more importantly will be challenged to be the best person they can be. Our role isn’t so much to educate as it is to is inspire the younger generation to take part in their communities, whether at schools with friends, or at home with family, by revealing their hidden potential, talents, ideas for improving the future.

Christine Su
Juniors Program Director
Occupation: Physical Therapist
Interests: Tennis (and pretty much any other sport), broadways, hiking, eating, latin dancing, movies/tvshows/anime
Favorite TANG memory: One of our activities last year was a game where the object was to throw clay mud toward the ground to create a popping noise. I had explained to the Juniors the difficulty of the game and failed to demonstrate the pop after the first 5 attempts. And of course, immediately after telling them not to be discouraged if they don’t get it, I hear several pops and realized some of the campers threw down their clay mud and got the pop on the first try. (Games of Taiwan’s Past event)
Bio: Christine recently graduated from physical therapy at Quinnipiac University and is now working at JFK rehabilitation in Edison, NJ. She is involved in her church at TAFPC and is looking to reconnect with the homeless ministry by working with Habitat for Humanity and at local soup kitchens. Christine likes to stay active with various sports, especially tennis. Christine has been going to TAC/TANG since she was little and has been staffing TANG for 5 years. She has worked with both the high school and junior program and is looking forward to working with the juniors again this year. |
